Koji's been taking care of the guesthouse where he was born and raised since his father ran away with a strange woman. Meanwhile, Miho, a runaway from Tokyo, starts to work at Koji's guesthouse. One day, Koji tells Miho a story of him meeting a kappa by the riverside when he was a child, a story that he has never told anyone to this day.
