‟An Eternal Lamb‟ is China's first Kazakh-language film. The film recounts 90-year-old shepherd Hali's youth in the nomadic herdsman lifestyle with orphan lamb Sarbas. Hali learns about the love of shepherds from the experiences of his grandmother Shahla and his uncle's lover Ukbara. This kind of love, like the petroglyphs left on the rocks, is forever engraved with the meaning of the inheritance of life. Life thus gains immortality— the lamb of immortality.
