At night, Charo works as a milk delivery person, and during the day, he works as a university janitor. Five years ago, he lost his memory and ability to speak due to an accident. Now, he lives peacefully and quietly as a vagrant alongside Tatsuo. Mika commutes to the university located in the upscale residential area of Yamanote. She appears to have a sparkling university life surrounded by affluent friends, but in reality, she leads a secret life unknown to her school friends. At night, she works part-time at a snack bar to repay her debts, and she spends a lot of time at the house of Elle, a fairy tale author whom she regards as an older sister.
