Somewhere in Seoul, Jung Won runs a small photo studio from the humble shack passed down from his father. There, he goes about his daily routine of soothing fussy customers, enlarging portraits of neighbourhood heartthrobs and carefully framing pictures about to adorn funeral altars. For Jung Won, life seems to be a series of peaceful events, but he feels his time on earth is limited. Having just reached his mid-thirties, he is far too aware of the meaning of death. Jung Won accepts his fate, despite the shows of concern from both his ageing father and younger sister. One of his regular customers, Da Rim, drops in to have the snapshots of the day’s parking violations developed. Her slightly bold attempts to capture his attention stir up feelings inside he’s come to look forward to.
