Discontinuous Murder 1977 / 不連続殺人事件 1977 / Furenzoku Satsujin Jiken , Case of the Disjointed Murder

Adapted from novel by Ango Sakaguchi with the same title. N prefecture , summer of 1947 and two years after World War II . An incident occurs in which the fashionable writer Wani Mochizuki is murdered at the Utagawa Tamon residence, one of the prefecture's leading conglomerates . Fingerprints of two women are found on the knife, used as a weapon, and a small bell, believed to belong to the other woman, is found under the victim's bed. The investigation begins, when Dr. Kose Hakase shows up at the crime scene.
