Yamamura Riku, a high school student who was involved in a traffic accident, finds himself in a hospital bed a few days later. Immediately after that, two patients in the same room - high school teacher Kuwabe Tatsuro and veteran voice actor Kawaguchi Shukichi start talking to him, which confuses him. Riku had fallen into a state of coma due to the accident, while Shukichi had also been in a coma for three years, and Tatsuro had been in the same state for over a year. Even though they say they are ‟awake‟, they are unable to move their bodies, and no one notices that the three of them are having a subconscious conversation.
