Jang Chong Chan is a General Secretary at a college in Seoul. He returns to his hometown after receiving a telegram stating that his mother is unwell. He also meets Da Hye, an old friend. During his stay, Chong Chan finds out that his brother-in-law, Kim Young Geun had wrongfully abandoned his sister, Eun Joo, in prison. Enraged after hearing this, he goes to see Young Geun who repents his mistakes. Young Geun turns himself to the police and Eun Joo is released. Chong Chan also helps Da Hye's colleague Jin Wook's sister escape a pseudo-religious cult.
