Carlos Miguel Altamonte, a handsome rich man, and Cecilia Fulgencio, a poor but charming woman, fall in love at first sight. However, Carlos Miguel is already in an arranged marriage to Olga Villavicer, a woman he does not love. Carlos Miguel breaks off the engagement and gets married to Cecilia.
