Izu no Odorikko 1993 / 伊豆の踊り子 1993 / The Dancing Girl of Izu

Set in the pre-war years, a young high school student (the high school being the equivalent of a modern university, and any student there virtually promised an elite career) is holidaying in the hills of Izu when he comes across a group of traveling dancers. The student and the youngest of the dancers, an innocent teenage girl, become mildly attracted to each other, but after a few days of traveling together, their ways must part.
