Sayoko is the manager of the Madonna beauty salon. With her husband Seiji addicted to gambling, she is more open that she might have expected to the prospect of hiring broken-hearted hunk Toshiya, a hair and makeup artist introduced to her by geisha client Ryoko. The two older women develop a great interest in Toshiya's love life while Toshiya hides a very dark secret of his past.
