Kamihama Narae is a single office lady who has worked 30 years at the general affairs section of a precision instruments company’s sales department. The people around her cannot stand her because of her critical personality. However, there is another side to Narae. She secretly loans her own money within the company and makes money from the 5% interest she collects. In fact, she has only taken over what Kishida Shigeko, an employee at the staff canteen had been doing. Her aim is to build an apartment and lead a leisurely life with the money she saves. Sugiura Junichi of the accounts department is also one of Narae’s regular ‘clients’. He occasionally comes to borrow money from her for motor boat racing. One night, Narae ends up in an intimate relationship with a drunken Sugiura when he comes to her home to pay her back, and after that her life undergoes a drastic change...
