When patrolling around Honjo area, Hasegawa Heizo reunites with his best friend and dojo mate from his younger days, Kishii Samanosuke as well as Sagami no Hikoju, the ruffian of Honjo. Samanosuke informs Heizo that the girl they once admired, Ofusa has been divorced. However, she is now married to a bad Gokenin. Further investigation done by Hikoju reveals the identity of this Gekenin, which somehow connected to Heizo and Samanosuke's younger days.
