One day, in her fourth year of marriage, Reiko finds lipstick on the shirt of her husband, Eiji, an assistant professor at the university, and suspects him, for having an affair. At that time, her husband's student, Mariko, came to greet her and informs her, that she had moved to the neighborhood. After sending Eiji to the station, Reiko witnessed him getting into Mariko's car and was even more convinced , that he was cheating with her.
