The Butterfly Lovers is Chinese legend of a tragic love story of a pair of lovers. It begins with a daughter of the wealthy Zhu family, Zhu Yin Tai disguised as a man to Pursue her dream to study at the academy. There, she befriends Liang Shan Bo a scholar from Kuaiji. They study day and night together for three years, but because Shan Bo is a gentlemanly nerd, he fails to recognize Zhu Yin Tai is actually a girl. After realising it, they see their love for each other. But, it’s too late as Ying Tai is forced to marry another man.
