The Strange Doctor Tang Shenwei 2014 / 怪医唐慎微 2014 /

Tang Shenwei is a native of Chengdu. He was a famous medical scientist in the Northern Song Dynasty. He compiled the ‟Prepared Materia Medica of Classics and History‟ in 1082 using an extensive collection over many years. A total of 1,746 kinds of drugs were collected in 32 volumes, of which more than 600 were formerly not recorded. This was the earliest and most complete masterpiece of Chinese herbal medicine in China. Tang Shenwei can be well-deservedly called the ancestor of Chinese medicine.
