Formerly a world-class runner, Shiro's life became dull and monotonous when he retired from his athletic career. Upon accepting a job as the coach of a corporate athletic team, he meets Hiroko, a young woman with great promise of becoming a professional runner. However, Shiro's wife, who holds him responsible for the loss of her leg in a jogging accident, becomes insanely jealous and threatens Shiro's new found joy.
