Atsushi lives with his grandmother while running a cram school. Keita (24-year-old) has yet to have experience with women. Kaede, devoted to her part-time job, often meets her classmates who are all now career women. Rie is a high school girl helping her best friend to make a boyfriend. Maki is worried about her relationship with her son, who has no blood ties with her. Struggling with the holes in their hearts, these people wait for the day of the fireworks that they had promised to their loved ones.
