Tatsuo Itakura, an airplane mechanic who is assigned to work alone and lives with his family, often meets Asako Yonemura, a married woman who lives in a housing complex. But they both decide, to have friendly relationship, and that they will not cross it . However, due to Asako's mother-in-law's plan, each spouse becomes aware of the ‟friend‟ relationship.
