An omnibus special comprised of four segments: >> Story 1: ‟Bijinzei‟ (美人税) The Japanese government introduces a beauty tax due to financial constraints. Beautiful women like Kijima Aiko must pay a hefty 20% tax. Initially unhappy, Aiko starts to feel superior but faces unexpected challenges due to the tax. Then, Nonomura Kenichi appears, changing her perspective. >> Story 2: ‟Yumemiru Kikai‟ (夢みる機械) Nomazaki Kenji dreams of becoming a manga artist but struggles to gain recognition. During an argument with his mother, she collapses revealing she's actually a machine. Kenji's girlfriend Keiko tries to support him, but he discovers shocking truths that push him to the edge. >> Story 3: ‟Kayoi no Guntai‟ (通いの軍隊) In a Japan experiencing a global natto boom, New Ibaraki declares independence and clashes with government troops. Maejima Keiichiro's company delivers defective rifles, leading him to apologize to the troops. However, he finds the battlefield transformed into white-collar salarymen and gets caught up in the fight, discovering a newfound sense of worth. --- Adapted from the novel ‟Kaiyoi no Guntai‟ (通いの軍隊) by Tsutsui Yasutaka (筒井康隆). >> Story 4: ‟Quiz no Ossan‟ (クイズのおっさん) Koga Saburo, tired of his monotonous life, appears on a quiz show for a change.
