Donned in the color purple to express the anguish in their lives, these women unflinchingly unveil the scars of Korean modern reality. 89 year-old Ko Bong Hee, 67 year-old Choi In Hwa, and the 94 year-old mother of Kim Sun Myung, who spent 45 years in isolation as a prisoner of conscience for violating the National Security Law, are all mothers who spend each day in pain, fighting for the release of their sons.
