After the Mukden Incident of September 18, 1931, Ma Zhong Qiu and his family's peaceful life erupts in chaos. Ma Zhong Qiu grows from a low-level swordsman to a righteous police officer, and finally becomes a soldier for the Communist Party of China. Fate forces him to suffer many hardships and life-death situations. At first, he fights for the day that his family can reunite again in peace, and then he fights for love.
