    Chronicles Of My Mother 2012 / わが母の記 2012 / Waga Haha no Ki

    Based on the auto-biographical novel ‟Chronicle of My Mother‟ by Yasushi Inoue (published 1977). ‟Chronicles Of My Mother‟ recounts the relationship of an author (Yakusho Koji) and his elderly parents. The author has a strained relationship with his father and his mother's (Kiki Kirin) memory grows weaker by the day. A reconciliation is attempted by the son.
