Constable Senba Ichinoshin launches an investigation into the death of Oryo, whose husband Kitagawa Utamaro works a popular woodblock print artist. Shortly later Senba Ichinoshin is ordered by his superiors to cease his investigation, but he continues in secret. ~~ Adapted from the novel ‟Damashi Utamaro‟ (だましゑ歌麿) by Takahashi Katsuhiko (高橋克彦).
