Onda Haruka is a new employee at a television production company. She is an athletic girl who loves teamwork and wanted to work on sports documentaries, but for some reason she was assigned to the nature club and is busy every day. In there, Onda is in charge of filming wild Japanese hare together with her senior director, Urushibara Daichi, who is known as the eccentric ‟biology geek‟ in the club. Hare are nocturnal, so it is difficult to know if someone will actually encounter them, let alone film them. Together with veteran cameraman Takano, the three head to the mountains and start filming while staying at the home of local resident named Fusae who lived with her grandson Keita. The three search the mountains, relying on the words of a researcher that ‟the only way to find a hare is to look for its droppings.‟ However, they are unable to find the hare. Onda and Urushibara, who do not get along, start arguing among themselves. Furthermore, Fusae, who is supposed to be knowledgeable about hares, is somehow not cooperative with the location shoot, and the filming comes to a standstill.
