Saki and her younger brother Toshi were born into a family that ran a drive-in movie theater located off the highway which is now deserted. Because their feckless father was kicked out of the yakuza, they had to endure being tagged with being part of the despised ‟idiot family‟. Because of this, the two became juvenile delinquents, with Saki eventually getting pregnant and running away from home. A few years later, Saki divorces her abusive husband and returns home where she's reunited with her brother and ailing father.
