King Se Jo, who has killed many loyal subjects and driven King Dan Jong from the throne, repents his past and converts to Buddhism. He builds the Wongak Sa temple to comfort the souls of all those he has killed, holds a memorial ceremony, rules his people justly, and promotes Buddhism which has lost popularity.
