Three thousand years ago, Ning Cai Chen's ancestry was saved by the former Fox Nie Xiao Qian. Due to a misunderstanding, Ning Cai Chen's ancestors were believed to have slaughtered 100 foxes using the famous sword Excalibur. Three thousand years later, during the Tang Dynasty, Xiao Qian finally became a fox spirit and encountered Ning Cai Chen. Taoist Yan Chi Xia, with the help of Xiao Qian and the mining minister, spirited back to three thousand years ago and finally revealed the truth behind the misunderstanding behind the story. Nie Xiao Qian and Ning Cai Chen began to fall in love as they spent more time together. Nothing is smooth sailing as Ning Cai Chen learns of his ancestor's enemy - the very man who has been seeking out a way to destroy his entire bloodline.
