Inspector Kariya is the chief of the Kyoto Prefectural Police Investigation Division 1. While he was a student at Kyoto University, he fell in love with the city and humanity of Kyoto and got a job to protect people. Normally, Kariya is meek, but once an incident occurs, he uses his sharp reasoning to get to the bottom of the incident. He has a clear mind and can get hints for solutions from casual conversations with his family. A serial murder case occurs at the prestigious flower arrangement Iemoto in Kyoto, and police officer Kaya takes command of the investigation. Is it a crime aimed at the heritage of the Iemoto? Or is it a crime caused by a grudge between family members? A poisoning masquerading as a suicide and a murder trick set up in a closed room stand in front of veteran investigators. The key to solving the mystery was hidden in the last daffodil that the victim lived in a closed room. Locations are performed while casually weaving tourist attractions such as Yasaka Tower, Ninenzaka, Pontocho, and the road along the Kamo River, and the whole story is full of Kyoto atmosphere.
