Two Taiwanese girls, Jade and Suk Ling come to Hong Kong and befriend Hong Kong model Billie. All of them share the same quest for fame. They come across a handsome young man Jean Cheung and he immediately falls for the gorgeous Billie. After celebrating Jade's birthday, Suk Ling is murdered on her way home. Inspector Lan, a lonely divorcee, starts to investigate the case and gets to know these three young people.
