The story of Christine, a poor young waitress raised with love and care by her mother, Toyang, a laundrywoman. She is able to endure all hardships and pain with the help of her boyfriend, Rod who comforts her. But, unknown to Christine, Rod is an unfaithful, double-crossing jeepney driver. However, Christine's colorful days are disrupted when her mother discovers her relationship with Rod and throws her out of the house. She thought she would be happy living with Rod, but as she spends more time with him, she ends up in more pain and hurt. She leaves and finds her rich father who ask her to live with him. In the his mansion, Christine meets Bernardo's scheming wife Olivia and her daughter Millet. The two women that will not allow Christine to inherit any of her father's riches. Christine's new life also pushes Rod to return to his wealthy father Gerry and demand what is rightfully his though Rod detests wealthy people. His resentment worsens when he meets Roland, his half-brother who enjoys the wealth he is supposed to be enjoying as well.
