During the Ming Dynasty, the imperial court was corrupted by officials and they lied to the emperor every day when reporting the memorials. The emperor was suspicious and aware of it, so he decided to make a private visit to the commoners. He traveled under the pseudonym Master Long and met many folk customs on the way. One day, a pair of male and female beggars cheated and fooled the villagers. Master Long saw the trick, but left without a word. Master Long befriended the dashing and unruly talented Jin Kezhong. Jin Kezhong has a crush on a female entertainer from the prostitute house and chases after her continuously. Nobody expected that the female entertainer is actually the famous ‟Swallow Thief‟ who secretly seized from the rich and helped the poor. She has evidence of the high-ranking minister Gao Yanai's corruptions and was put to jail, Master Long and Jin Kezhong has to save her.
