The moose of the Daxinganling mountains live in northeast China although their habitat is disappearing. The Ewenki tribe is forced to abandon their homes. Weijia, an Ewenki nicknamed ‟moose‟, is unable to hunt so he drinks and tells stories of his vanishing culture. After moving to his girlfriend's in the south, he fails to quit alcohol and to return home.
