In 1987, on Jeolla in South Korea, a highway was being constructed at a rapid pace for the next year's Seoul Olympics. That winter, Seo Do Yeon, who works as a part-time instructor while dreaming of a poet in Japan, visits the place to attend a grandfather's funeral.
