The lives of people residing at a group home for victims of Alzheimer's disease are recorded over a two-year period in this documentary. In 2000, the Fukujuso Group Home was established by chairwoman Takeda Junko in the city of Sapporo, Hokkaido Prefecture under the mottos: ‟cherish the individual,‟ ‟a caring heart,‟ and ‟creating a society people can live with peace of mind.‟ By capturing the lifestyle at Fukujuso in a straightforward manner, the film raises the question of what exactly is ‟being alive.‟ (Source: JFDb)
