Lin Si Qi, the son of a wealthy businessman, returns to Beijing after a biking holiday in Yunnan province, reconnecting with an old friend, Chen, who's enjoying newfound wealth after his father's passing. In Hong Kong, taxi driver Ching Fai, known as ‟Scumbag Fai,‟ flees to Macau to escape gambling debts. He takes a job at an old friend's gym and rents a room from Wang Ming Jun, a Mainlander suffering from depression. Meanwhile, penniless Si Qi and his bankrupt father wash up in Macau. Si Qi decides to enter the Golden Rumble MMA Championship for its HK$2 million purse. He enrolls in the same gym where Ching Fai works, learning MMA. As Si Qi prepares for the championship, Ching Fai, despite being 48, secretly harbors a desire to compete for the prize money. Their intertwined destinies unfold over the following ten weeks.
