HAPPY DAYS is an old hot springs hotel in Taipei, the Xinbeitou area. This area has a lot of Japanese heritage due to Japanese colonialization in the past. One day the grandma of Fan Ju is hospitalized and Fan Ju can't run the hotel without her. Suddenly a mysterious American called Allen shows up and volunteers at the hotel.
