Kunitomo Daihachiro, the president of a sake brewery with a history of 200 years, entrusted its management to his son and found a phantom rice for the best sake brewing, but the company is already on the verge of bankruptcy. When applying for a 1 billion yen loan to a millionaire, he gets it on condition that he wins the gateball Japanese Grand Prix. This movie is based on the novel written by Shukei Nagasaka and depicts the struggles of seven old people aiming to be the best gateball team in Japan.
