On the eve of his proposal to his girlfriend, Detective Zhou Hsin receives a report of a murder case. He rushes to the scene and arrests suspect Li Zi Jian on the spot, but discovers that the victim is his girlfriend, Chen Kai Xin. Zhou is shocked and grief-stricken. The evidence leads to the revelation that Chen volunteered to let Li Zi Jian kill her, and that Li is the only son of Congress Chairman Li Cheng Wen.
